The gift set ships with two interchangeable 18mm fabric straps (a multicolor stripe and a navy) on quick-release spring bars — the value-add here is the two-strap gift-set format rather than any change to the MK1 case or movement, which Timex has reused across several past collabs.

- What’s new: A full redesign of Vaer’s original Oceanracer chronograph rather than a colorway update: 42mm case with alternating brushed/polished surfaces, a fixed ceramic tachymeter bezel (up from a metal bezel on the original), sapphire crystal, and rectangular chronograph pushers running a Seiko VK63 meca-quartz movement — quartz timekeeping with a mechanical-feel reset action. 10 ATM water resistance, screw-down crown, USA-assembled. The new bracelet is deliberately not backward-compatible with the original Oceanracer’s bracelet, signaling a clean platform reset rather than a running addition to the old line.
