- What’s new: A worldtimer that actually engineers a fix for the twice-yearly daylight-saving headache instead of ignoring it: a fixed inner bezel handles the standard-time zones while a separate outer 24-hour bezel rotates in 15-degree clicks with a spring-loaded lock and a small “DST ON” window, so a DST-observing city can be nudged forward without throwing off every other city on the ring. 40mm by 10.33mm steel case with nine-piece Art Deco lugs, layered blue dial with overlapping raster patterns, Sellita-based Ming calibre 330.M2 automatic with a 50-hour reserve. Most worldtimer complications just print a static ring and leave the DST math to the owner — this is a mechanical answer to that problem rather than another dial-art take on the format.

- What’s new: An unusual materials pairing for a microbrand collaboration: a 40mm tantalum integrated case (dense, hypoallergenic, and notably hard to machine — normally the province of boutique independents, not a $300-watch microbrand like Atelier Wen) wrapped around a solid 18k gold dial that’s hand-tremblage-textured and hand-engraved by Coralie Mercier, mixing Arabic and Chinese hand-calligraphed numerals in a California-style split layout. Runs a customized Girard-Perregaux calibre GP03300 automatic (28,800 vph, roughly 48-hour reserve). The 10-piece/40-piece client-reserved-versus-public allocation split is a structure more familiar from AP or Patek boutique drops than from the microbrand-collab space Atelier Wen usually plays in.

Nothing new from Timex, Shinola, Bulova, Weiss, RGM, Autodromo, Oak & Oscar, Vaer, or Luminox since last covered (Timex Peanuts × Marlin/Waterbury, August 24; Bulova E1 Team Miami Marine Star B Chronograph, August 23). Timex’s and Bulova’s mailing lists both went out again this week, but only around existing stock — Timex re-pushed its Expedition Titanium family (already covered here August 21) and its E Line collection (already covered August 12–16), and Bulova sent a “Top 10 customer favorites” list of existing SKUs — remarketing rather than new references.
Microbrand
Nothing new standard-production from Duxot, Kuoe Kyoto, Otsuka Lotec, Lorier, Nodus, Traska, Monta, Baltic, Zelos, Studio Underd0g, Brew, Halios, Christopher Ward, Farer, or echo/neutra since last covered (Nodus Sector II Sport stone dials, August 23). Kuoe Kyoto’s newest news is a new Kyoto retail location opening September 1 — not a watch release.
