Nodus — Sector II Dive × Holme & Hadfield Edition

- What’s new: A collaboration edition built on the existing Sector II Dive case (38mm case width, 40mm across the bezel, 11.9mm thick, 47mm lug-to-lug, 20mm lugs, 316L steel, 100m water resistance, TMI/Seiko NH38 no-date automatic, box sapphire with blue anti-reflective coating). The design change that matters is the dial construction: the hour and minute track is printed on a sapphire glass disc layered over a matte black base, so the indices read as suspended on their own plane above the dial plate, a nod to Holme & Hadfield’s glass-top display cases. Also new against the standard Sector II Dive is a CuAl8 bronze bezel and crown, which the regular line does not use, over a matte black DLC steel bezel insert with a 60-click unidirectional action, plus a green seconds hand. First five orders include a co-branded watch care kit.

Japanese
Nothing new from Seiko, Citizen, or Casio/G-Shock since last covered (Citizen and Grand Seiko August 21; Seiko and Casio/G-Shock August 16). Checks of the Seiko and Citizen group press rooms and Japanese-language channels turned up no new JDM references either. Citizen’s own commentary points to Geneva Watch Days in September for its next wave.
Swiss and Luxury
Tissot — PRX 40mm Powermatic 80, ref. T137.407.11.111.00

- Availability: Available now as part of the permanent collection, no region lock identified
- What’s new: Dial only. The white mother-of-pearl dial carries the PRX’s waffle texture and had previously been offered only in the 35mm size; this is the first time it appears in the 40mm case. Everything else carries over unchanged from the existing 40mm Powermatic 80: 40mm by 10.9mm steel case, Powermatic 80 automatic on an ETA 2824-2 base with an 80-hour reserve and Nivachron hairspring, and the integrated steel bracelet. Priced at roughly a EUR 50 premium over the metal-dial version.

Tissot — Désir Moonphase (six references)
- Edition size: Standard production, six dial and case variants
- Price: From CHF 425; US pricing runs roughly $495 for the base reference T1522231149300 to $575 for the diamond-set variants
- Availability: Rolling out now through tissotwatches.com and Swiss retail; some references were still showing as “on request” at the time of writing. No region lock identified.
- What’s new: A moonphase complication added to the women’s Désir line for the first time; the line had previously been time-only quartz. The moonphase sits at 5 o’clock with a mother-of-pearl moon disc on most variants, driven by a quartz movement that also carries an end-of-life battery indicator. Case is 29.6mm by 9.52mm in 316L steel, 50m water resistance, sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, on a steel bracelet with a butterfly clasp. The line’s cabochon crown is retained. Variants run blue with a diamond-set crescent, blue with Roman numerals, silver, golden-beige, a red silky-textured dial, and a bi-colour execution.

Bulova — E1 Team Miami Marine Star B Chronograph, ref. 98B476
- Edition size: Standard production. Worth separating from its shelfmates: the related 96B460GP is labelled a limited edition and 96B460 is an older reference currently discounted, but 98B476 itself carries no edition cap.

- What’s new: A new reference on the existing Marine Star chassis rather than a new platform: 41mm black stainless steel case, 20mm lugs, quartz chronograph with three subdials timing to 1/20 second, 100m water resistance. The changes are cosmetic and thematic, a magenta ombré dial with black IP markers and hands, a leather and silicone strap with magenta stitching, and a caseback carrying the E1 Team Miami logo, marking Bulova’s timekeeping partnership with the electric powerboat racing team. Note on framing: Bulova has been Japanese-owned since 2008 as part of the Citizen Watch Co. group, though it remains a New York heritage brand designed and marketed from New York, which is why it stays in the American tier here.

Nothing new from Timex, Shinola, Weiss, RGM, Autodromo, Oak & Oscar, Vaer, or Luminox since last covered (Timex, August 21). The Peanuts x Timex Marlin 1965 Reissue Snoopy Tennis (ref. TW2Y12500) mailed out this week as “now available,” but it has been taking pre-orders since late June and is a stock update rather than a new reference, so it is not written up here.

Case and movement are unchanged at 38mm by 11.7mm, 47mm lug-to-lug, 20mm lugs, 316L steel, TMI/Seiko NH38 no-date automatic regulated to plus or minus 10 seconds a day, 100m water resistance, flat-top sapphire with blue anti-reflective coating, Super-LumiNova BGW9, on a tapering steel bracelet with Nodus’s NEM clasp. Assembled in Los Angeles with a 24-month international warranty.
