Description
Hamilton Carlton, 10K gold-filled manual wind, c. 1949–54
Made in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, back when that meant something specific. The case and crystal are both curved to follow the wrist, with Art Deco fancy lugs at the corners.
The dial is butler-finished sterling silver with solid 18K gold applied numerals at the even hours and dots at the odd, which is a level of dial work that disappeared from watches at this price a long time ago.
